Phil Box or "Boxy" must be thanked for the wonderful job he did organising the event. I am sure he must have fallen behind in his job because his tireless efforts were the major reason for the evening's success. $12000 was a figure which had never entered my mind. The generosity of everyone who attended the night was phenomenal, not to mention the people who bidded from afar and the people who most selflessly donated goods and services. One thing that has become increasingly apparent over the past few months is that the world is a friendly and loving place. It's just that we only see the bad things through the media. Thanks again to all those who helped make it such a memorable night.
