The day began with a 5:20am wake up call! After a filling brekkie of cereal and toast, we drove down to the jetty on the Swan river for our final send off. Linda, Trish, Bern and the boys drove infront of Annabelle and me, with Mum and Bevo following us behind in the campervan. Linda navigated us out of the city and left us just before the hills began. Annabelle got back in the camper after 25k, which left me with 160k to go. The winds were perfect yesterday, I was able to average 36.6k/hr, travelling over 50k/hr at times on the flat. Annabelle and Bevo got used to driving slowly behind in the camper and mum had a practice driving it in the servo carpark. I rolled into Tammin at 1:30pm, to find that the motel didn't open untill 4pm, so I did a recovery ride as Annabelle ran alongside me. That night we ate a tasty dinner at the Tammin pub and watched half of the Swans/Doggies game, before retiring for bed at half time. Last changed: Sep 13 2008 at 8:15 PM Back |
