We awoke to rain this morning - I had nearly forgotten what it was. Fortunately, it had stopped by the time we started riding. The wind was almost from behind for the warm up, so I thought it was going to be a nice, fast day. Wrong!! After about 40 km the wind shifted to a southerly and our route also changed a little to that direction. Not a pleasant combination - this meant lots of really severe cross winds and some headwinds; not to mention the hills. I was happy to reach Nundroo but in contrast to yesterday's heat it is icy here. I am typing this blog wearing a beannie, two pairs of pants and two thick tops. I think Mum has taken a loan against her home, to pay for the phone calls. I have a feeling she has rung everybody in her book. If she hasn't contacted you, I guess you're in the bad books or you don't know her. Tomorrow we head to Ceduna - the Promised Land. I will be confiscating Annabelle's credit card because for eleven days she has been without shops and that means she might buy even more things (than usual) that she doesn't really need. Tonight, the Brownlow is on but with only one TV channel, I don't believe we will be watching it. Last changed: Sep 22 2008 at 5:35 PM Back |
