After another interview on Horsham ABC, we headed off for Ararat. The joints were feeling like they needed some oil. I suppose that is to be expected after 3000 plus km. Vanessa and Dave continued their excellent riding and rode with me for the first 50km and unfortunately for them they stopped for a rest just as the wind became advantageous. This lasted for the next 70 km, basically until Ness and Dave got back on the bike. Lucky them!! We pushed hard until arriving at Great Western, expecting to meet some students from Marian college but some lost keys meant that only 3 kids joined us for the final 18km. Alice, Tom and Jesse escorted the team to the local church where Fr Brendan had cooked up a storm. His vegie soup was to die for! Thanks also to the students from Marian College who cooked up the barbecue. It was great to meet some of Tony and Fi Mimms' family at the barbecue.
