DAY 12

We awoke to the sound of no wind, which was a welcome change from yesterday. The guy in the next room was riding his motorbike around Australia. He would be doing 1000 km today - an easier ride compared to his norm! The first 50 km today were great with no real breeze. After that the wind picked up but nothing compared to yesterday. We'd made it back to civilisation but would Ceduna be the "Promised Land" we had hoped for? Well, there were a lot more shops and businesses but no "clothes shops". I am actually quite pleased about that! I have not seen that look of anticipation in Annabelle's eyes since the Boxing day sales. The motel we are staying at is right opposite the beach, so I had a beautiful recovery session in the bay. For dinner we went to the adjoining Bistro and had a lovely meal which was great value for money compared to some of the places we have eaten at recently! Looking forward to a lie in tomorrow.
